Our Story
"Out the Mud"
409 Charters was born from a passion for wade fishing and a love for the waters of Galveston. Capt. Connor Blaszka and Daniel first met while fishing the bank of Shell Beach as students at Texas A&M Galveston in 2017. Both moved from out of state, with no boat to their name, but quickly fell in love with the art of wade fishing.
Determined to make the most of what Galveston had to offer, Connor spent years mapping out prime wade fishing spots, while the two honed their skills and started entering tournaments under the name Out the Mud—even bringing home a few wins.
In 2024, Daniel turned to Connor and said, "Let’s make 409 Charters a real thing." With Capt. Connor at the helm, that vision became reality.
Now, we’re here to share our knowledge, experience, and passion with anglers looking to experience Galveston’s incredible fishery firsthand. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman or a first-timer, 409 Charters is ready to get you out the mud and onto the fish.
